Requirements
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:
A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a closely related field is required. A master's degree in marketing, Business Administration (MBA), or a related discipline is preferred and may substitute for up to one year of required experience. A minimum of five (5) years of progressive, job-related experience in marketing, digital marketing, or communications is required. Experience in a healthcare, hospital, or health system environment is strongly preferred. Prior supervisory or team leadership experience is required.
Summary
The Director of Marketing and Digital Marketing is responsible for developing, leading, and executing comprehensive marketing and digital strategies that advance Pikeville Medical Center's (PMC) brand, support organizational growth, and strengthen community engagement across the service area. This role provides strategic oversight of all marketing functions, including digital platforms, social media, content creation, graphic design, video production, and community outreach, while supervising and mentoring a multidisciplinary marketing team and working with preferred contractors. The Director collaborates closely with hospital leadership, department heads, and community stakeholders to ensure messaging is consistent, mission-aligned, and effectively delivered across all traditional and digital channels. The Director plays a central role in positioning PMC as the healthcare provider of choice in the region.
