The Communications and Public Relations Intern support the development and execution of strategic communications that elevate brand awareness and engagement across key audiences. This role contributes to drafting and editing content, supports media relations efforts, and assists with public relations initiatives. Essential Functions
Contribute to drafting and editing content, support media relations efforts, and assist with public relations initiatives.

Manage and track projects in a digital project management system
Route content writing for review and approvals through appropriate channels
Assist and support additional integrated communication and marketing efforts as needed
Minimum Qualifications
Experience drafting and editing content
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Previous experience with higher education marketing and writing
Ability to track and keep many projects moving simultaneously
Thrives in a deadline-driven environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Positive attitude and professional demeanor
Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate the ability to think critically while making decisions
Ability to work collaboratively with others in the community
