Media/Marketing Coordinator (PORCH INC) (2026)
PORCH Communities' mission is to mobilize and support local volunteers to create sustainable hunger relief programs. [For more information, visit our website: porchcommunities.org] The proposed VISTA project aligns with the AmeriCorps Healthy Future focus area. The VISTA project will seek to (1) increase the number of licensed NC PORCH chapters from 13 to 20 in 2026-2027, (2) increase the number of NC volunteers from 1,500 to 1,700 in 2026-2027, (3) increase the number of NC counties served from 10 to 14 in 2026-2027, and (4) establish the foundation and processes to expand into South Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia in the next 2-3 years. The VISTA project expects to benefit 12,000 individuals in 14 NC counties by providing over 1,000,000 meals in 2026-2027. In this role, you will enhance and develop strategies for increased neighborhood leader engagement and onboard new neighborhoods plus identify areas of improvement. The ideal candidate will have terrific research skills and possess strong analytical abilities. This position is for self-directed individuals looking to make a high impact and create a meaningful difference in the fight against hunger. This role is one of 3 VISTA positions with the PORCH INC hunger relief VISTA project. This role involves full-time teleservice and will interface regularly with key board members throughout their tenure; including weekly check-ins. Member Duties : 1. Meet with PORCH Community leadership to gain a comprehensive understanding of PORCH's mission, values, and operations, with a particular focus on its grassroots hunger relief model. Engage with Neighborhood leaders to understand their perspectives on hunger relief efforts within the context of PORCH's community-driven approach. 2. Build audience and engagement for PORCH Communities. Engage with neighborhood leaders to understand their needs, concerns, and perspectives on how marketing assets, programs and initiatives can help. Create monthly social tiles in support of pre-defined media strategy. Post social tiles to FB and Instagram via Meta, according to the social calendar. 3. Work with neighborhood leaders in the use of the marketing tools and assets . Utilizing WordPress, manage and keep updated, our internal resource center, The Front Porch.
