The Project Manager role plays a meaningful role in supporting initiatives for the Advancement Marketing and Communications team. This role is responsible for providing operational, programmatic and administrative support.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

Project Management Support

  • Manage projects from inception to final delivery, including project intake and kickoff, periodic check-ins with contributors and campus partners, and project debrief and closeout.
  • Coordinate and maintain project scopes, budgets, deliverables, to meet business and design objectives under fast set timelines.
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
  • Manage relationships with school, college and unit partners to achieve project goals.
  • Supervise project tracking in team project management tool.
  • Proactively guide project lifecycle and project team workflow.
  • Inspire positive outcomes by understanding and advocating for team goals, measurement, continuous optimization strategies and identifying unique opportunities that algin with advancement division.
  • Balance the expectations of clients, marketing and communications initiatives and broader divisional goals.
  • Collaborate with the Marcom team and others on various projects and meetings.

Other Administrative Support

  • Offer continued administrative support to the team in accepting and tracking projects in our project management tool according to timelines and other parameters, ensuring efficient and standard processes are followed.
  • Assist with team project management framework (Agile), through administrative tasks like building new sprints and adjusting dashboards.
  • Additional administrative support as assigned.

  • This is a temporary, part-time position anticipated to last through January 31, 2026.

What We Can Offer

The pay for this position is $40.00 per hour.

Benefits

Temporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave.

What We Require

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience or combination of education and experience may substitute.
  • 1 year of project management experience with a marketing/communications team.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional working relationships.

What We Would Like You to Have

  • Software Used: Microsoft Office products, Zoom, Teams, DocuSign, and project management tools.
  • Experience in a non-profit or higher education environment.
  • Experience working in customer service and/or an operations-focused role.
