The marketing team works as an internal agency and this role will support multiple retail and ecommerce brands, including Americas Floor Source. Position Overview:AFS Group is seeking a creative and strategic copywriter to craft compelling messaging and lead content initiatives that drive engagement, brand awareness, and sales conversions. This role requires a strong storyteller who can write clear, persuasive copy for campaigns, web, and product marketingwhile also coordinating with team on SEO strategies. Youll play a key role in shaping how our brand communicates with customers, designers, and industry professionals.Responsibilities:Write engaging, brand-aligned copy for a variety of brand and channels including website pages, blogs, product descriptions, digital ads, email campaigns, social media, sales presentations, and printed materials.Write press release to highlight the growth and community engagement for our brands.Support internal marketing initiatives and external promotions with creative messaging that drives action.Craft compelling headlines and CTAs that convert while maintaining the voice and tone that is aligned with each brand. Own and manage the content calendar, ensuring consistent publishing of blog posts and content that align with our marketing goals.Research and write educational, lifestyle and design focused blog content that positions our brands as a thought leaders in flooring and home design.Collaborate with designers, SEO specialists, and marketing teammates to develop content that is both beautiful and optimized for search and to drive conversions. Use analytics tools to track content performance and make data-driven decisions to improve engagement and conversions.Identify content gaps and opportunities through regular audits and competitor research.Test, learn, and optimize messaging based on performance and customer feedback.Required Skills and Knowledge:3+ years of experience in copy writing, content marketing to related roles (agency or in-house) Passion for writingImpeccable writing and editorial skillsAble to manage multiple projects, prioritize deadlines, and adapt to changing needsUnderstanding of common editorial style guides, e.g. AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style, etc. Has used and experimented with AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, LlamaOperates well with giving and receiving feedback. Has a team mentality Additional Qualifications: Appreciation for home design, interiors, and lifestyle storytelling is a strong plus.Experience in the flooring industry is highly encouraged. Familiarity with Marcus Sheridans They Ask, You Answer content is highly encouraged. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong portfolio of work.Experience managing content calendars and developing content strategies.Understanding of SEO best practices and content optimization.
