Looking to shape compelling marketing and communications strategies for one of the nations leading business schools? As a Marketing and Communications Consultant II with the Eller College of Management, you will play a key role in supporting integrated marketing and communications initiatives through project coordination, content development, communications planning, and vendor management.

Working closely with external vendors, creative agencies, and internal stakeholders, you will help develop and deliver impactful multi-channel marketing and communications materials across digital, print, web, email, and social media platforms. You will also contribute to project workflows, communications calendars, campaign tracking, and the coordination of content and messaging to support the timely execution of initiatives while ensuring alignment with Eller brand standards, messaging guidelines, departmental objectives, and broader strategic priorities. Work is performed with moderate guidance and reviewed for alignment with organizational goals and overall communications strategies.

Duties & Responsibilities

Vendor Coordination and Workflow Support

  • Coordinate with external marketing vendors, consultants, and creative agencies to support marketing and communications initiatives.
  • Assist in managing project timelines, scopes of work, and deliverable tracking to help ensure projects are completed on schedule and meet established quality standards.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for vendor communications and facilitate coordination between vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the execution of multiple concurrent marketing and communications projects while maintaining effective workflow processes.
  • Maintain and update communications calendars, campaign trackers, and project schedules.
  • Coordinate content and messaging across email, web, newsletters, social media, and print channels, and assist with monitoring and reporting basic performance metrics to support campaign effectiveness and continuous improvement.

Integrated Communications, Content Development, and Coordination

  • Assist in the development and implementation of communication plans that support strategic programs, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Coordinate the creation and production of feature stories and multi-channel communications materials, including digital, print, email, web, and social media content.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to help ensure content aligns with Eller brand standards, messaging guidelines, and audience needs.
  • Draft, edit, proofread, and adapt content for a variety of Eller audiences, ensuring communications are accurate, engaging, and consistent across channels.
  • Support the coordination and timely delivery of communications projects while maintaining quality and alignment with organizational objectives.

Stakeholder Communication and Brand Support

  • Collaborate with campus partners and internal departments to support communication strategies and messaging consistency.
  • Communicate project updates and coordinate information gathering with stakeholders.
  • Provide support in maintaining brand consistency across communication materials and platforms.

Performance Monitoring and Process Support

  • Track audience engagement and vendor performance metrics and assist with identifying process improvements related to communication workflows and production activities.
  • Support communication readiness efforts for college initiatives, announcements, and events.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge

  • General knowledge of integrated marketing and communications principles, strategies, and practices across digital, print, and social platforms.
  • Understanding of vendor coordination and project support processes.
  • Knowledge of brand management principles and communication standards.
  • Familiarity with project management and workflow tracking practices.
  • Understanding of higher education communications environments and audience needs.

Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project tracking and workflow management tools.
  • Skill in coordinating communication materials and campaigns across multiple platforms.
  • Attention to detail in reviewing materials for consistency and accuracy.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience with higher education marketing, project management/workflow tools, CRM or email platforms, website content management systems, social media planning, vendor coordination, and writing/editing for multiple audiences.
