Position Description:
The Marketing and Communications Lead is a key member of the project development team responsible for growing the company’s presence in the region through client development, marketing and communications outreach, and project procurement support. This role requires an “all in” mindset and the ability to contribute across a wide range of marketing and communications efforts.
Developing and designing marketing collateral, client qualification packets, and internal and external presentations are top priorities, as each deliverable directly supports business development and the pursuit of new work. In addition, this role supports social media content, regional event coordination, jobsite milestone communications, community volunteer efforts, and other regional marketing initiatives.
The Marketing and Communications Lead will help steer internal and external communications to ensure alignment with regional and enterprise-wide strategies while maintaining brand consistency. This role also supports the development and execution of strategic marketing and communications plans, manages integrated campaigns across multiple channels, analyzes performance metrics, benchmarks results, and provides insights that drive continuous improvement and supports regional objectives.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of relevant marketing and communications experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, etc.).
- Highly proficient in social media platform management and publishing tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
- Working knowledge of SEO, digital marketing analytics, and performance measurement tools, with the ability to evaluate campaign effectiveness and develop data-driven recommendations.
- Demonstrated creative and strategic thinking abilities.
- Proven expertise in presentation development and visual storytelling.
- Proficiency in video content development and editing.
- Advanced writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with photo editing and digital asset management systems.
- Strong decision-making, organizational, and project management skills.
- Excellent multitasking capabilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to build, maintain, and foster effective professional relationships.
Essential Duties:
- Support communications to both internal and external stakeholders across multiple channels.
- Develop communication content and assets, including articles, case studies, press releases, newsletters, website updates, digital ads and social media posts.
- Lead communication projects from inception to completion, working with operations teams to obtain information.
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns that support strategic initiatives, emerging markets, industry sectors, and project pursuit efforts.
- Oversight of photography and videography consultants for internal and external usage.
- Manage and execute email marketing and social media initiatives that support key marketing campaigns and communication objectives.
- Analyze campaign performance and metrics to identify trends, benchmark results, and recommend strategies that support regional business objectives.
- Support the coordination of events such as outreach events, Mid South regional events, trade shows and client-facing activities.
- Design logos and collateral to support project teams as needed for internal events.
- Support award submissions for Mid South
- Partner with marketing, business development, and operations leadership to support client engagement initiatives, pre-positioning efforts, and strategic marketing campaigns that advance regional growth objectives.
- Coach and mentor coordinators to prepare them for additional responsibilities within the organization.
