Responsibilities

The Market Development Manager supports Business Development efforts across all regions by driving lead generation initiatives, coordinating conference and association strategy, and strengthening the organization's market presence. This role plays an important part in building and advancing the sales pipeline through proactive outreach, strategic relationship development, and cross-functional collaboration with Business Development leadership, marketing, and operations teams. This position will report up to the SVP of Business Development.

Conference & Trade Show Management:

  • Manage conference calendars, registrations, and event logistics
  • Coordinate booth presence, materials, and pre-event preparation
  • Partner with marketing teams on pre- and post-event outreach strategies
  • Maximize the value of sponsorships, conferences, and association memberships
  • Track leads, follow-up activity, and event outcomes within CRM platforms
  • Evaluate conference ROI and provide recommendations for future improvements

Business Development Support:

  • Conduct proactive outreach through phone, email, and targeted prospecting efforts
  • Research and develop target prospect lists aligned with growth strategies
  • Schedule meetings and introductory conversations for Business Development representative
  • Support timely follow-up activities resulting from outreach campaigns and events
  • Maintain accurate CRM data, activity tracking, and pipeline documentation
  • Near term focus on the Texas Market

Marketing Support & Materials Development:

  • Collaborate with marketing and Business Development teams to customize presentations, proposals, and prospect-facing materials tailored to specific service lines and customer needs
  • Translate account intelligence and stakeholder priorities into personalized outreach materials
  • Maintain and organize Business Development collateral, resources, and campaign assets
  • Prepare targeted outreach strategies for priority accounts, including messaging, sequencing, and response tracking

Sales Enablement & Process Support:

  • Maintain and organize Business Development resources, including presentation decks, proposal templates, marketing collateral, and pricing tools
  • Help develop and document Business Development workflows, prospect nurture strategies, and operational handoff processes
  • Partner with operations and clinical leadership to ensure materials accurately reflect current service capabilities and outcomes
  • Support onboarding and training efforts for new Business Development team members related to CRM processes, tools, and workflows
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and enhance overall Business Development effectiveness

Texas Market Support:

  • Support outreach and relationship-building efforts within the Texas market
  • Coordinate meetings, site visits, and follow-up communication with prospective partners
  • Represent the organization at local conferences, networking events, and association meetings
  • Assist leadership in advancing early-stage growth opportunities and strategic partnership

Qualifications

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking abilities
  • Experience with cold outreach, prospecting, and relationship development
  • Conference, event, or association coordination experience preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and pipeline management tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments while managing multiple priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree Marketing or Business-Related Degree, Preferred.
  • Experience in business development, sales, marketing, or a related field

Working Conditions:

  • Travel: Domestic travel required for customer and prospect meetings, conferences, and association events
  • Working Hours: Standard business hours with flexibility based on travel and even schedules
  • Physical: Work is performed in both office and event environments and may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, speaking, and computer use.
