Patient Marketing Director, Asundexian
Bayer is committed to delivering Health for All by advancing a portfolio of innovative treatments; the company has the passion and determination to develop and commercialize medicines that help improve patients' lives; one of your key late-stage pipeline assets, Asundexian, an oral Factor XIa inhibitor (anti-thrombotic), is being developed as a potential treatment for secondary stroke prevention in patients who have experienced a non-cardio-embolic ischemic stroke;
As Patient Marketing Director, Asundexian, you are responsible for driving rapid patient activation, treatment adoption and continuity of care at launch; you orchestrate data-driven patient engagement strategies that ensure patient demand is created and converted into timely HCP action and prescribing behavior; you lead a fully integrated strategy that translates patient engagement signals into real-time field execution, accelerating time to diagnosis, treatment initiation, and brand uptake in a competitive launch environment; in this role, you collaborate closely across customer engagement, medical, market access and patient services, requiring excellent skills in communication, cross-functional leadership, and influencing without authority; you take a high degree of project ownership and accountability while managing multiple workstreams.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Patient Marketing Director, Asundexian, are to:
Develop the patient marketing launch plan and business cases, including prioritized opportunities, high-return investments and strategic approaches;
Identify prioritized patient populations with high risk and unmet needs and execute patient marketing strategies, campaigns and initiatives aligned with brand goals that prime patients for HCP discussions;
Lead initiatives that pull through patient campaigns and key messages into field-based assets, advocacy conferences, advertising and digital communications that deliver measurable results;
Partner with advocacy relations and PR/communications to raise awareness, drive education and support continuity of care;
Partner with patient services and market access to deliver tailored affordability solutions and education that support continuity of care;
Partner with Digital Strategy teams to design and implement high-ROI omnichannel patient marketing programs;
Establish and foster collaborative relationships with external agency partners and internal cross-functional stakeholders across Bayer;
Collaborate with Legal, Medical and Regulatory teams to navigate review processes efficiently and ensure full compliance;
Manage project timelines, budgets and key deliverables in line with brand goals and launch milestones;
Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities and evolving consumer behavior to continuously refine and optimize strategy.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree;
Minimum of 3 years of US pharmaceutical and/or healthcare marketing experience;
Direct experience in patient marketing, including strategy and execution;
Launch experience in US pharma or healthcare;
Agency or agency management experience;
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and collaborate effectively across US and external functions;
Demonstrated success partnering with Legal, Medical and Regulatory colleagues to develop high-quality, compliant messaging, campaigns and materials;
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including business case and investment plan development;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
PharmD or MBA;
Experience in the cardiovascular or antithrombotic space;
Experience with patient services, affordability solutions and access.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $180,240.00 - $270,360.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.
This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
This role is eligible for an enhanced employee referral bonus.
