Senior Brand Manager, eCommerce
The eCommerce Sr. Brand Manager is responsible for driving sales and enhancing the online presence of the Consumer Health organization's products through eCommerce channels and strategic partnerships with retailers, third-party platforms, and growth channels. They will develop and lead marketing and promotional strategies to accelerate sustained sales growth, ensuring product assortment remains relevant, differentiated, and effectively activated. They also leverage sales data and platform insights to identify growth opportunities, including expansion into new eCommerce partners, while leading negotiations and partnership agreements with these partners. They continuously evaluate retailer platforms and digital experiences to recommend improvements, staying ahead of eCommerce trends and emerging opportunities to strengthen and optimize the organization's digital strategy.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
Own and define category and brand eCommerce strategies that drive share gains (EVI) and long-term competitive advantage across all key digital commerce ecosystems (including, but not limited to, Amazon, Walmart, Target, CVS, Instacart, DoorDash, TikTok Shops)
Identify and prioritize category white spaces and breakthrough innovation opportunities to accelerate growth of the $800M+ UR portfolio (national POS) and expand Bayer's digital value
Manage end to end delivery of new item innovation and ensure flawless launch
Develop assortment strategy in partnership with commercial strategy and innovation teams
Lead, develop, and coach the digital shelf strategist, sales operations support and visual design services associates, setting performance standards, building capabilities, and ensuring delivery against strategic priorities
Set the strategic direction for assortment, content, and media, and orchestrate cross-functional teams (Brand, Customer, Media) to deliver integrated, high-impact execution
Contribute to defining the future ecommerce strategy for Bayer Consumer Health, including identification of key capability advancements that need to be made to win
Lead brand planning as eCommerce expert and eCommerce sales planning as brand expert
Leverage advanced analytics, tools, and platform insights to inform strategic decisions, identify risks/opportunities, and continuously optimize portfolio performance
Define brand strategy for retail media investment priorities, partnering with media, brand, and LMR teams to ensure compliant, high-performing activation aligned to business objectives
Leverage financial governance model to justify current investment and secure incremental investment
Drive discoverability and visibility via optimized consumer experience through content, ratings and reviews, taxonomy, etc. to deliver best in class digital shelf
Integrate AI into eCommerce brand management inclusive of optimizations for buyability as well as internal efficiency opportunities
Lead capability building for eCommerce brand management team by embedding TB4L principles into brand and commercial practices, ensuring consistent, scalable brand-building excellence and strong integration into national planning processes
Manage content briefs and specialized eCommerce content agencies like Onespace
Raise organization/Marketing eCommerce IQ and collaborate with Global to garner support for new capabilities and initiatives
Upskill and develop marketing understanding of eCommerce/Digital Commerce
Key contributor to Marketing Specific Projects (20% of time)
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
At least six years of progressive Sales Strategy, Trade Marketing, Brand Marketing or Shopper Research experience in the consumer packaged goods industry, Ecommerce industry or related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functionally, influence stakeholders, and drive alignment across complex organizations
Strong financial acumen with experience managing tradeoffs, influencing investment decisions, and delivering measurable business impact
Track record of building capabilities and elevating team performance, including embedding new frameworks, tools, and ways of working
Preferred:
Strong customer focus, driving results and managing complexity
Courage, drive, vision and purpose, managing ambiguity, cultivating innovation and business insight
Experience working across sales, marketing, ecommerce, innovation, TB4L, Global teams
Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $148k-222k. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive program (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.. This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
