The Social Media Strategist is responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that build authentic consumer connections and strengthen brand engagement across Meta (Facebook & Instagram), TikTok, YouTube, and other emerging digital platforms.
This role serves as the voice of the brand, creating and managing relevant, engaging, and culturally aware content that resonates with consumers while maintaining brand integrity and company values. Responsibilities include planning and managing content calendars, publishing social posts, supporting paid social campaigns, managing promotions and contests, and developing short-form branded video and other digital content.

Work with team to coordinate, manage and post monthly social media plans.
Day-to-day social listening and tracking of consumer sentiment.
Engaging with the ALC brand communities daily and actively responding to fans across social channels and branded digital touch points.
Work with creative team to develop brand positioning concepts for online creative campaigns.
Manage monthly social media advertising budget (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) while communicating changes and invoice details to internal teams.
Identify trends among social media platforms/technologies, determine best opportunities for brand involvement and deliver happy consumer experiences through creative content (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
Work with team to identify opportunities to build engagement with online community; includes working with current agencies on new engagement opportunities and vetting potential third party partners.
Develop, track and measure specific Brand(s) KPIs and goals.
Create social media slides to share out plans and results, explaining the why.
Travel to events to capture content in real time
Utilize social media monitoring software to manage real-time consumer communications and provide the team with up-to-date feedback on activity.
Analyze data from social media monitoring software and create reports based on actionable insights to help team make informed decisions.
Monitor competitor movements in social media space and assist team in developing insights and strategies.
Work with Brand Team to develop social media co-promotions and partnerships.

Work with Finance and Accounting to manage POs and contracts with service providers and agencies related to role. (Meta, Sprout, etc.)

Optimize content strategies based on analytics, audience insights, and platform performance
Assist in managing paid social campaigns

Stay current on platform updates, algorithm changes, emerging tools, and best practices in social media marketing

Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, or related field preferred or equivaelent work experienced.
3+ years of experience managing social media platforms for consumer brands, agencies, or lifestyle brands
Proven experience developing and executing social media strategies across Meta (Facebook & Instagram), TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms
Strong understanding of social media trends, platform algorithms, audience engagement, and best practices
Experience creating and managing content calendars and coordinating cross-functional campaigns
Demonstrated ability to write compelling, on-brand copy with strong understanding of tone, voice, and storytelling
Experience with short-form video content, influencer collaborations, contests, and community management
Familiarity with paid social advertising and campaign performance metrics preferred
