Role Summary
The Business Development Manager leads the daily sales-generating activities by building and maintaining a network of interested buyers for BHDP's design services for the Industrial market. This position collaborates closely with the Sales Leadership team and the Marketing team to execute elements of the sales capture plan, driving sales growth and achieving other strategic objectives as defined by the Market leader. This role is responsible for developing and delivering a fully integrated prospecting strategy that is focused on building connections with key decision-makers in the industry to increase awareness of BHDP and secure lasting business relationships.
Responsibilities
- Leads business development for their assigned Industrial market through weekly sales behaviors and driving for sales results.
- Coordinates efforts of the industrial sales team (prospecting, sales meetings, follow-ups) and holds the team accountable for their behaviors.
- Generates leads and maintains a healthy sales funnel through weekly sales behaviors and cultivation of prospect and client relationships.
- Serves as a champion for the BHDP funnel process within the industrial market, providing early stage and deal support to exceed the viable revenue required to attain the annual sales stretch goal.
- Leads efforts to cultivate and build relationships with new prospects as well as reconnecting with past clients to position BHDP for future sales opportunities.
- Continuously identifies potential prospects through market research to maintain a healthy sales funnel, developing customized communication cadence for each prospect.
- Leverages the BHDP thought leadership productions and publications with prospective clients to position BHDP as thought leaders and strategic business advisors as a differentiator.
- Supports thought leadership initiatives and events (roundtables, research projects) in collaboration with the Sales Leadership team.
- Manages and maintains the firm's Client Relationship Management system (Pipedrive), ensuring accuracy and integrity of information, while constantly pursuing advanced use of the platform to drive efficiency and consistency in our sales process.
- Coordinates the use of the CRM system, holding other sales team members accountable for regular use of the system and managing quality control while also serving as a training resource.
Qualifications
- Experience in corporate real estate, construction, architecture, or design preferred
- Strong business acumen
- Proven track record of success in business development and sales of professional services
- Experience in responding to requests for qualifications and proposals
- Demonstrated ability to build professional networks
