Description:The Student UX & Social Media Specialist supports website optimization, user experience research, and social media engagement efforts for the Graduate and Online department. This role assists with webpage audits, UX recommendations, social media scheduling and monitoring, and digital content support. The student worker will help improve the online experience for prospective and current students across web and social platforms.Responsibilities:User Experience / Website Support
Review webpages and landing pages for usability and accessibility issuesAudit pages for user experience improvementsTest navigation, mobile responsiveness, and content clarityReport findings and recommendationsAssist with SEO and content optimization reviewsMonitor forms, CTAs, and conversion pathsConduct competitor and higher-ed website research
Social Media Support
Schedule and publish social media postsMonitor comments/messages and flag important responsesAssist with content planning and organizationTrack engagement and performance trendsIdentify opportunities for improving reach and student engagementAssist with short-form content ideas and repurposing
Administrative / Project Support
Organize content calendars and workflow trackingHelp maintain asset librariesAssist with campaign coordinationDocument findings and recommendations
Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications
Current Southern Utah University student in good academic standingStrong written and verbal communication skillsFamiliarity with major social media platformsStrong attention to detail and organization skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlinesBasic understanding of digital communication and user behaviorAbility to work independently and take initiativeComfortable learning new digital tools and platformsInterest in user experience, web strategy, or digital marketing
Preferred QualificationsMajor or coursework in:
MarketingStrategic CommunicationGraphic DesignDigital MediaInformation SystemsComputer ScienceRelated field
Experience with:
CanvaMeta/HootsuiteSocial media scheduling platformsSEO conceptsUX/UI principlesAccessibility best practicesGoogle Analytics or reporting toolsCreating or managing digital content
