Your Impact
The Social Media Content Creator supports the organic social team as a visual creative strategist and executor to bring the Lowe's brand to life on social. As an avid user of TikTok, Instagram and whatever platform is next, the Social Media Content Creator is a master visual storyteller and understands what goes into making compelling and engaging videos, photos and graphics. The ideal candidate for this role has a passion for social media and pop culture and knows how to translate trends into brand-friendly content across all social platforms. This role will work cross-functionally with internal partners (ex: Public Relations, Brand Marketing, Brand Engagement) and directly with fellow social team members to assist in translating business objectives into engaging social-first content.

What You Will Do

  • Create still, animated and video assets for social channels including TikTok, Instagram (Reels), Pinterest, Twitter and Facebook on planned timelines and in real-time.

  • Ability to self-produce and take an asset from concept ideation, through filming (either on mobile device or camera,) and editing with the ability to edit both in and out of native apps.

  • Edit existing photography and video content into social-first creative.

  • Participate in cross-functional project pods to get business inputs that youll translate into creative content that infuses trends and pop culture to increase engagement.

  • Present concepts and creative deliverables with key stakeholders to ensure content represents our brand identity and delivers on objectives.

  • Use real-time follower feedback and platform analytics to make strategic content recommendations and shifts in creative style.

  • Stay on the cutting of edge of new video transitions, platforms and editing trends to reinforce Lowes as a smart and surprising brand on social.

  • Must be willing to travel for shoots and visit Lowes locations as business needs dictate.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree Video, Motion Graphics, Interactive Design, Fine Arts, Graphic Design or equivalent portfolio or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable

  • 1 Year Experience producing video, photo and graphic content for social media

  • Expert in capturing videos using DSLR camera or mobile device and online recording techniques

  • Proven understanding of creating branded video content

  • Proficiency with a range of Adobe Creative Suite products (Premier Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) or other creative editing software

Preferred Skills/Education

  • Significant experience as a TikTok and Instagram user or creator

  • Eye for design, staging, and props to style spaces to bring concepts and brand aesthetic to life
