ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCreates and sends requests for proposals (RFPs) to carriers, including follow-up as necessary;Solicits bids for clients from carriers and vendors;Monitors receipt of bids to ensure that the quotes are timely and are to specification;Communicates negotiated rate and plan design alternatives to the respective client service team member;Creates accurate and consistently formatted proposals;Reviews peer proposals for accuracy;Develops and maintains carrier relationships;Keeps abreast of legislative, market and product changes;Attends and actively participates in marketing meetings;Flexibility to work long hours during busy season, if needed;Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information);Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION / EXPERIENCEBachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceOne (1) or more years experience working for a group insurance carrier or benefits brokerage firm
