The Director of Marketing & Communications provides strategic leadership and oversight for all marketing, branding, and communications efforts of the College. This role is responsible for advancing the College's mission, enhancing institutional reputation, and driving enrollment through integrated, data-informed marketing and communications strategies. Reporting to the Vice President for Students and Chief Marketing Officer, the Director supervises the Marketing and Communications team and collaborates closely with campus and external stakeholders to ensure cohesive, high-impact messaging across all platforms. Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communications goals, objectives, and strategies aligned with institutional priorities. Provide leadership for the planning, design, and production of all publications, digital platforms, advertising, and multimedia content. Ensure consistent and strategic management of the College's brand across all channels, materials, and events. Collaborate with academic programs, departments, and administrative units to design and implement targeted marketing and communications campaigns that elevate visibility and support institutional growth. Partner with Student Services, Enrollment Management, and Recruiting to develop and implement a comprehensive enrollment marketing strategy focused on attracting, converting, and enrolling prospective students. Lead the development and execution of a results-driven social media strategy to increase engagement, grow audiences, and enhance the College's public image. Oversee the College's website strategy, including content, messaging, user experience, and ongoing optimization for search engine performance and key analytics. Direct the creation of high-quality promotional videos and advertising campaigns that effectively communicate the College's value proposition. Develop and implement an internal communications strategy that promotes transparency, engagement, and a strong institutional culture. Lead, mentor, and develop the Marketing and Communications team to ensure high performance, innovation, and continuous improvement. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned, required, or directed by the College. The College reserves the right to assign additional tasks and to alter or reassign job duties as necessary to meet business and operational needs. In order to perform these essential functions, the Director must be present at work. Therefore, attendance is an essential function. Bachelor's degree required, with at least 21 semester hours in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field. Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, communications, or a related area. Demonstrated knowledge of journalism practices, marketing strategy, and branding with experience in writing, videography, and graphic design. Knowledge of College policies and procedures, or ability to quickly acquire such knowledge. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders, media, and external partners. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and analyze performance metrics. Ability to work nonstandard hours, including evenings and occasional overnight travel, as needed.
