Copywriter Intern

We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern to join our growing organization. In this position, you will be expected to learn the ins and outs of our daily routines and procedures while utilizing gained educational knowledge and experience.

Essential Functions:

• Concept, present and refine creative marketing messaging for the email, SMS, organic social media, paid digital, web and in-store channels that captures attention with brevity
• Write and publish product descriptions that highlight a shoe's specific features and benefits in a clear and exciting manner for both the Rack Room Shoes and Rookie Kids websites
• Must be able to adhere to Brand Copy Guidelines to ensure a consistent voice and tone
• Support the SEO Team with keyword research and optimization efforts
• Conduct competitive analysis to stay abreast of trends in the marketplace
• Carefully proofread email and SMS communications with a detailed eye to catch any mistakes before deployment
• Support the Creative, Integrated Marketing, Digital and CRM teams on any pivots in strategy that may arise
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously with short deadlines
• Utilize the Workfront project management program to ensure proper organization, workflow and communication

Minimum Requirements:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
• Organizational and administrative skills to provide administrative support.
• May have a degree or in the process of obtaining a degree in Marketing or Business Administration.
