This position is responsible for researching, planning, producing, and publishing engaging and informative content designed for use across various university channels, including but not limited to the university website, newsletters, emails, social media, and printed materials. This position applies creativity and storytelling skills to help tell the Universitys story, generate awareness, nurture enrollment, and advance fundamental brand messages. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

- Create and edit original content that is clear, error-free, and engaging for use across all university promotional channels, both online and off;
- Regularly audit, update, and maintain enrollment-driven sections on the university website, including but not limited to campaign/promotional pages, student testimonials, admissions, online, and academic program pages;
- Communicate the student-centered focused brand of the university in all outlets, maintaining a consistent voice, accessible language, and effective calls to action in collaboration with supervisor;
- Produce content for web pages and blog posts using SEO-driven keywords, both on the page and inside of metadata, to maintain efficacy of promotional campaign efforts;
- Maintain accuracy of information and language in all assigned outlets through partnerships with university stakeholders;
- Collaborate with internal team members to generate, edit, and proof promotional materials and social media posts;
- Utilize web best practices and assigned templates, integrating appropriate imagery and design elements;
- Regularly partner with university stakeholders to edit and modify language in existing outlets;
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
Assist with various marketing and communication projects upon request to support the team and university priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, English, or a closely-related field is required;
- One year of experience in journalism, digital communication, marketing, social media, or related field is preferred;
- Experience with SEO and keywording concepts is preferred;
- Experience with WordPress or other content management systems is preferred;
- Experience with Slate or other CRM is preferred.
