Job Summary

We are searching for a Marketing Operations Manager to lead our retail marketing, promotional and product marketing efforts. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this individual will be responsible for driving marketing initiatives with a focus on creativity, strategic planning, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will play a key role in enhancing brand presence and ensuring seamless execution across all channels.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promotional Marketing Lead: Oversee the planning, development, and execution of promotional campaigns across multiple channels, ensuring alignment with overall marketing strategy.
  • Promotional Creative Brief Execution: Manage the execution of promotional creative briefs, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of assets across all relevant channels, including digital, print, and in-store.
  • In-Store Promotional Marketing/POS Signage: Lead the creation and deployment of in-store promotional materials and point-of-sale (POS) signage to drive customer engagement and sales.
  • In-store TV Content Execution: Own the development and execution of in-store TV content, ensuring consistency with brand messaging and alignment with marketing objectives.
  • Social media & Influencer Marketing: Manage social media marketing efforts and influencer partnerships, driving brand awareness and customer engagement through strategic campaigns.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI) Marketing Support: Provide marketing support for new product launches, including coordinating product positioning, promotional strategies, and messaging.
  • Product-Focused Education Execution: Develop and execute educational content and campaigns that focus on product features, benefits, and usage, aimed at both internal teams and customers.
  • Product Go-to-Market Execution: Lead the execution of go-to-market strategies for new and existing products, ensuring seamless integration across marketing channels and alignment with sales objectives.
  • Collaborate with store managers to execute promotions and new product launches that are aligned with store-specific goals and customer preferences.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of retail marketing initiatives, adjusting strategies for optimization.
  • Coordinate with the creative team to ensure consistency in brand messaging and visual merchandising across retail locations

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing operations, with a focus on retail and wholesale.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Experience in process optimization, marketing automation, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Advanced knowledge of analytics tools ( Power BI) to track performance and ROI.
  • Excellent project management skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and coordinating large-scale marketing projects.
  • Ability to manage timelines, budgets, and resources effectively while ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Strong creative problem-solving ability with a focus on innovation and operational efficiency.
  • Analytical mindset with a proven ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights for marketing strategy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams (sales, product, creative, etc.).
  • Experience leading teams and mentoring junior staff in a fast-paced, evolving industry.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices, particularly within cannabis or other highly regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

Education

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Equivalent combination of work/education experience accepted
