If so, were looking for a dynamic Digital Experience Project Lead to join our Nationwide Financial (NF) Marketing team.

This hybrid position is based in Columbus, OH. Candidates located near a Nationwide campus will collaborate in office 2-3 days per week and enjoy the flexibility of remote work the remaining days. Current Nationwide Remote Associates will also be considered.

In this hybrid role, youll serve as the bridge between Marketing and IT , translating bold business visions into actionable, cross-functional plans. Youll lead the charge on digital experience enhancements across Nationwides marketing web propertiesensuring seamless collaboration between creative minds, technical experts, and enterprise stakeholders.

What Youll Do

  • Be the Conductor : Lead multi-disciplinary project teams including Site Managers, Page Builders, UX designers, SEO strategists, IT developers, Compliance, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact digital experiences.

  • Translate Vision into Action : Turn strategic marketing goals into executable project plans, aligning technical and non-technical contributors around shared outcomes.

  • Champion Collaboration : Serve as the primary liaison between Marketing and IT, guiding teams through intake, development, testing, and deployment processes.

  • Own the Timeline : Manage project milestones, track risks, and ensure timely deliverywhile keeping everyone informed from the ground floor to the executive suite.

  • Navigate Complexity : Identify cross-initiative dependencies, mitigate delivery risks, and prevent duplication or scope creep across NF and enterprise-wide efforts.

  • Tell the Story : Deliver clear, concise executive summaries that translate technical progress into business value.

  • Shape the Future : Contribute to long-term digital strategy and planning, ensuring our digital presence evolves with customer expectations and industry trends.

  • Proven experience leading digital marketing or IT projects within the financial services industry .

  • A strong understanding of both marketing web ecosystems and enterprise IT processes you speak both languages fluently.

As a Consultant, you are responsible for leading and/or assisting the overall development and execution of marketing strategies using highly advanced marketing principles and standard methodologies. You will execute on future business or marketing needs driven by quantitative data/research, competitive insights and/or consumer behaviors. We'll count on you to ensure a strong focus on end-to-end customer experience, delivering outstanding customer experience overall.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the development and execution of strategies and plans that ensure long term sustainable growth of the business. Synthesizes data and uses this understanding to support identification and innovation of business building solutions

  • Leads projects and processes within area of responsibility to deliver results with multiple target completion dates and shifting priorities.

  • Implements digital and traditional marketing tactics and media, including creative development process, planning, and execution.

  • Collaborates on and/or may lead creative development, and provides feedback on look and feel. Develops creative briefs.

  • Monitors emerging innovative trends in content, design and marketing tactics

  • Reviews and uses customer insights and analytics and tools to understand and forecast market, competitor and customer needs and behavior, define appropriate target audiences, evaluate sufficiency, and effectively get results with data-based decisions.

  • Ensures programs are on strategy and on schedule.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships : Reports to Manager/Director/AVP. This is an individual contributor role and may have an opportunity to manage a team based on organizational structure; may also lead virtual/project teams.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education : Bachelors degree in marketing, business administration or related field preferred. Masters degree is a plus.

License/Certification/Designation : Technical financial services designations such as FINRA, CPCU, CLU, ChFC, FLMI considered a plus. Additional licensing may be required to hold this position; and associates will need to acquire the required Federal and/or state licenses/registrations within the time period designated by the business unit. Additional licenses/registrations may be required when new products and services are implemented. If an associate fails or is unable to acquire required licenses/registrations within the time period designated by the business unit, the associate will be ineligible to continue in the position.

Experience : Typically eight or more years related professional experience in marketing, strategy, consulting, financial services, or related field.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills : In-depth knowledge of marketing methodologies, insurance and/or financial services products, distribution systems, and customers. Knowledge of project leadership concepts and methodologies. Possesses strong verbal and written skills needed to develop and review research studies, communicate research findings, market recommendations based on findings, and maintain relationships. Ability to lead and prioritize projects. Ability to function independently or in a team environment with limited supervision. Demonstrates core marketing proficiencies, including strategy development, utilization of insights and analytics, building brand equity and developing effective marketing communications. Skilled at customer focus, operating capabilities, personal effectiveness, and strategic capabilities.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring managers leader and HR Business Partner.
