What is the opportunity?
The Director, Marketing Measurement & Optimization is a critical leadership role responsible for establishing and driving a data-driven culture within the marketing organization. This individual will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive measurement framework, advanced analytics capabilities, and continuous optimization strategies across all marketing channels and initiatives. The Director will partner closely with marketing and analytics leaders, business stakeholders, and technology teams to provide actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making, improve marketing effectiveness, and maximize return on investment.
What will you do?
- Design and Implement a Marketing Measurement Framework: Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to craft a marketing measurement framework that enables the bank to better understand its return on marketing investment and inform data-driven and agile marketing decisions.
- Align Measurement Tools to Marketing Needs : Determine the ideal mix of measurement solutions for addressing RBCs measurement challenges, including MMM, attribution, site analytics, among others.
- Develop and Implement Campaign Measurement Scorecards: Define and implement key performance indicators (KPIs), measurement methodologies, and reporting dashboards to track the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives across various channels and businesses.
- Executive Engagement: Interface regularly with the CMO in Canada and Marketing VPs to ensure marketing leadership understands the ROI of its investments and is armed with the appropriate insights to make organization-wide data-driven decisions
- Develop Actionable Insights and Reporting: Translate complex data into clear, concise, and actionable insights for marketing leadership and stakeholders through regular reporting, presentations, and ad-hoc analyses.
- Partner with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate effectively with marketing channel owners, data and analytics groups, product teams, technology partners, and finance to align measurement efforts with business objectives and ensure data integration.
- Evaluate and Implement Marketing Technology: Assess and recommend marketing technology solutions and platforms to enhance data collection, analysis, visualization, and automation capabilities.
- Stay Abreast of Industry Trends: Continuously monitor and evaluate emerging trends and best practices in marketing measurement, analytics, and optimization.
- Build and Mentor Talent: Recruit, develop, and mentor a team of skilled marketing measurement and optimization professionals.
- Champion a Data-Driven Culture: Evangelize the importance of data-driven decision-making within the marketing organization and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in marketing analytics, measurement, and optimization, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing measurement frameworks and optimization strategies in a complex, multi-channel environment.
- Deep understanding of marketing KPIs across various channels and their impact on brand and business outcomes.
- Strong expertise in web analytics platforms (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics), and marketing automation platforms.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python, SAS) is a significant asset.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to build, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
- Experience in the financial services industry is an asset
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices
