Job Description

This is a unique opportunity for someone with experience with several years of marketing experience. We are a Long Island-based $3+ billion credit union seeking an experienced marketer to join our team!

This individual will also provide marketing support to our operational areas throughout the credit union. As the Senior Marketing Coordinator this person, also supports the organization’s strategic direction and assist in the attainment of organizational sales goals.

Working under the guidance of the Assistant Marketing Manager, this individual will write, develop and produce marketing materials in support of membership, product promotion, cross-sell, and member service initiatives. This individual will be responsible for developing promotions in support of our sales efforts and driving marketing campaigns through various channels and analyzing and reporting on the success of campaigns. He/she will continually seek to balance total quality with cost efficiency in the development of marketing materials and programs that support the NEFCU Rocks Philosophy.

This position calls for a self-motivated and organized individual that will coordinate multiple tasks and tight production deadlines with attention to detail and follow-through as a team player. He/she will require strong writing skills and must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. This position is expected to work whatever hours necessary to complete projects within deadlines.

This individual will have an in-depth understanding of Credit Union products and services. He/she will expand his/her knowledge of marketing and the financial services industry via industry publications, networking with credit union marketers, along with professional development and in-house training opportunities.

 JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Should have a B.A. or B.S. degree with an emphasis in marketing, communications or public relations with a minimum of five years of work experience in a financial institution. Experience in a related field with equal responsibilities is acceptable.

Must have a working knowledge of laws and regulations affecting all of the products and services of the Credit Union, advertising policies and procedures and market research techniques.

Should have strong analytical, verbal presentation and writing skills. Self-motivated with good organizational skills and attention to detail is required. Professional appearance and demeanor. PC experience in a Microsoft environment.
