Vice President of Marketing/Director of Marketing
In order to maintain and create an interest in a company’s goods or services, the vice president, or director, of marketing develops successful strategies.  They create sales tactics or advertising programs in order to increase the population’s awareness of their products.  VP’s and directors manage various departments and organize the staffing, training, or any other specific tasks that are needed in order to increase company success. 

Marketing Manager
Marketing managers are responsible for generating and following potential leads.  They contact both individuals and organizations, making necessary efforts to create customers.  Marketing managers either contact organizations personally, or delegate specific leads to proper sales associates.  They are responsible for hiring, training, and managing a team of sales professionals in order to increase overall profits. 

Project/Program/Product Manager
These managers are responsible for the coordination and execution of numerous tasks associated with marketing promotions, advertising projects, developmental programs, and other organization developing duties.  They maintain close contact with clients and customers and fashion a variety of ideas and proposals in order to market goods and services more effectively.  Professionals work directly with other departments and associates to thoroughly complete all necessary tasks.  

Account Manager/Executive
The primary responsibility of account managers and executives is to maintain relationships with existing clientele, and develop relations with new customers in order to increase overall sales.  They are also accountable for gaining new accounts, but their primary focus is on existing accounts.  Account executives work with other management and marketing professionals in order to maintain and develop public relations.  They may be put in charge of multiple accounts, so excellent organizational, prioritizing, and communication skills are mandatory in order to succeed. 

Marketing Analyst/Marketing Research Analyst
Marketing analysts are responsible for completing research used to identify or monitor competitors and markets.  Based upon an analyst’s findings, a marketing analyst makes promotional or sales recommendations and evaluates overall success.  In order to accurately interpret data, professionals must be highly organized and detail oriented. 

Marketing Specialist/Representative/Associate
Marketing specialists are employed among numerous associates within a department to effectively coordinate activities.  Specialists may assist with promotions, marketing strategies, or market analysis.  They spend a great deal of time communicating with clients, customers, and other departments, therefore they must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.  Marketing associates work directly with a number of new clients in order to increase satisfaction and gain returning business contacts. 

Marketing Coordinator/Administrator
Marketing coordinators or administrators are responsible for all aspects included in the planning, promotion, and public relation marketing.  It is necessary for administrators to maintain close contact with associates in order to create an understanding through all departments.  They create marketing schedules in correlation with marketing analysis reports, and in response to market trends.  Coordinators must evaluate numerous aspects in order to effectively organize necessary activities. 

Marketing Consultant
Marketing consultants investigate actions, responses, and the success of an organization in order to create a valuable marketing plan.  Consultants make suggestions for updating existing systems or integrating completely new plans and activities.  They may be employed in practically any good or service sales company, or work for a firm that specializes in evaluating organizations for hire.  No matter their specific place of employment, marketing consultants must be highly creative and objective. 

Writer
Marketing associates employed in writing careers are responsible for a variety of tasks directly related to marketing and promotions.  Duties may include the creation of press releases, reports, newsletters, articles, or case studies.  Writers may find employment within a specific organization, or for an advertising agency which creates products for their clients and customers. 

Marketing Assistant
Responsible for aiding administrators and managers with daily activities, marketing assistants have differing duties depending on each specific place of employment.  Assistants must have a thorough knowledge of the marketing industry because of the amount of interaction they have with graphics, layouts, flyers, etc.  They must also be organized and creative in order to succeed in these fast passed occupations.  

Telemarketer
Telemarketers are employed in order to contact leads or potential customers, and spend the majority of their time communicating with written or oral methods.  They may work out of call centers that require associates to call numerous prospects in a day, or send fax or email promotions to prospective clients.  Associates may also be utilized to handle inbound calls and correspondences.  Telemarketers must be patient, organized, excellent typists, and have excellent customer service skills.  They are also responsible for keeping records of all calls and striving to increase company sales.
